Business Development Manager

Define Duties/Goals:

BDM is responsible for the implementation of business objectives among their company’s sales and marketing professionals to support business growth. Their duties include comparing current sales numbers to desired quotas, sourcing new opportunities, and working with sales team professionals to close sales.

  • Maintain current client relationships and identifying areas for new potential clients
  • Contacting potential clients to establish a business relationship and meet with them
  • Develop new sales areas and improving sales through various methods, to be determined
  • Research the latest in the business industry and creating new opportunities to expand business
  • Collaborate with sales team to assist in getting into desired prospects or to expand breath of service inside sales teams existing clients
  • Assist and train junior salespeople to improve sales goals and meet expectations
  • Strong understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive

Develop Profiles – Profiles will be developed out of the following resources:

  • Book of Lists
  • LinkedIn
  • Google/Internet
  • Predetermined Verticals List
  • Networking events
  • Associations we currently belong to and new ones we would join
